PVA 4 88 used in medicine film, outer pharmaceutical base material, water soluble film, high count, flat printing photosensitive film, paper making, emulsion.
PVA(POVAL) is a white or slightly yellow, granular or powdery, stable, non-toxic water-soluble polymer. Water is a good solvent for PVA, and from a practical perspective, it is also the only effective solvent. PVA has good film-forming properties, resulting in excellent adhesion, solvent resistance, friction resistance, tensile strength, and oxygen barrier properties. Because PVA has both hydrophilic and hydrophobic functional energies, it has interfacial activity properties. So it can serve as a protective colloid for polymer emulsification and suspension polymerization reactions. These characteristics make PVA use widely in various industries.
